What goes wrong
We work on the kinds of commercial locks and doors that actually fail in service: cylinders that bind from dirt and repeated key use, mortise locks with worn plungers, exit devices whose latch bars no longer seat cleanly, and keypads whose contacts corrode. For storefronts and offices in Lionville we remove the trim, inspect the tailpiece and cam, and check the strike for elongation or a broken screw. If a door sticks, we look at the hinge pin, reveal any bent face of the latch, and see whether the closer is overdriving the bolt so the strike wears prematurely.

What the job involves
A typical job starts with us confirming who is authorized on site and what access you want kept operational. We bring replacement cylinders, spindles, long-throw deadbolts, reinforced strikes and a selection of commercial keypads and readers. If you have a keying schedule or a drawing of the door set, have that ready; if not, have someone with authority to approve changing cores or cutting new keys. For alarmed doors or electrically operated hardware, have the building contact for power access so we can test the lock under load.

Good to know
While we work you should secure the area and, when necessary, post temporary signage if an exit device is out of service. For tenants and employees, give us the original key or master key if you can; if keys are missing, tell us which doors must remain keyed together and which need separation. If the door is part of an access control circuit, clear the time schedules and handover any administrator passwords or cards so we can test card-to-door operation. We can rekey cores, install new cylinders, or fit keypad units to existing locks depending on what you need.

Worth knowing
We drive out from Havertown and bring the tools to finish most mechanical fixes at the door: pinning a new cylinder, filing and fitting a reinforced strike, adjusting a heavy door closer, or replacing a worn latch assembly. For master key systems we record how cylinders are currently keyed, cut new master keys and stamp cores to match your sequence. In Lionville and nearby towns like Exton we also service exit devices and panic bars, repairing or replacing latch mechanisms and the crossbar linkage so doors operate cleanly and the strike engages fully when closed.
