What goes wrong
We work on commercial doors and hardware for offices, retail storefronts, warehouses and medical practices. Typical calls are about malfunctioning cylinders, worn mortise locks, failing electric strikes, exit devices that bind, or door closers that slam or fail to latch. We handle rekeying, full cylinder replacement, master key systems, keypad and card access modules, reinforced strikes and replacement panic bars. When a property in East Brandywine Township requests service, we bring the parts and tools needed to make the door secure again where it sits.

What the job involves
Common failures are physical: keys that shear off in a cylinder, deadbolts with broken tailpieces, latches that no longer align with the strike, panic bar rollers that catch, or circuit faults in an access control reader. Keypad buttons wear and lose contact; electric strikes can seize when the faceplate warps. We drive out from Havertown with extraction tools, replacement cylinders, spindles and wiring testers. If the call comes from nearby Thorndale or Downingtown, we use the same approach: diagnose the mechanical or electrical cause, then repair or replace on site.

Good to know
A typical service visit starts with an inspection of the door edge, strike plate, lock chassis and, if present, the electrified hardware. We pick or remove the cylinder to check tumblers, measure backset and check the door for twist or sag. If we replace hardware we fit a new cylinder or exit device, cut and test new keys, adjust the strike and set door closer tension so the latch engages cleanly. For access control work we verify voltage, test release circuits and program the keypad or card reader before we leave. We test every function and show you each door operating.

Worth knowing
While you wait, make sure the person who can approve work and sign for replacements is available and that the area around the door is clear. Have any existing keys, key serials, door numbers and the name of the current keying system ready; this speeds decisions about rekeying versus cylinder swap. If the door has access control, have wiring notes or the panel location available and someone who can operate the system. We will explain the repair options and what hardware we need, then proceed once you authorize the work.
