What goes wrong
Cars lock out because of a surprising range of things: keys left on the seat, a key broken off in the lock, a dead key fob battery, power locks that have jammed, or a trunk latch that won’t release. We handle domestic and foreign makes and models and run into everything from worn mechanical locks to tiny transponder fobs with damaged housings. We respond from Havertown and work across Montgomery County, including North Wales, so the first step when you call is to tell us exactly what happened and what kind of key or fob you have.

What the job involves
On arrival we size up the problem and pick the least invasive method that will get you back in. That might be using a wedge and long-reach tool to manipulate an interior lock, decoding and turning a mechanical cylinder, extracting a broken key with precision tools, or swapping in a new cylinder if the lock is physically damaged. For electronic systems we check the fob battery and contacts and can cut and program a replacement on site when a transponder is involved. We work to avoid damage to trim, window seals, and airbags.

Good to know
While we’re on our way you can help the job go smoothly by gathering a few things and staying safe. Keep children and pets out of the work area and park in a well-lit, safe spot if you can. Have your vehicle registration and an ID ready to show proof of ownership, and tell us the vehicle make, model year, color, and whether the key has a removable blade, remote buttons, or a metal loop. This speeds the diagnosis when we arrive in North Wales or nearby.

Worth knowing
For most lockouts we carry the parts and tools to leave you driving again: replacement mechanical keys cut on site, key blanks for older cars, cylinder swaps for worn or damaged locks, and fob batteries and housings for remotes. If a key is broken in the ignition or door we extract the fragment and can cut a new key from the original when possible. We also offer options if a lock is badly damaged and needs a new cylinder or reinforced striker. We cover North Wales and surrounding areas, including Upper Gwynedd Township, and we always tell you what we plan to do before starting.
