What goes wrong
We handle the kinds of residential lock problems people get in Pocopson Township: broken deadbolts where the tailpiece shears off, jambs split by a forced entry, antique mortise locks with worn internals, cylinder cores that stick or turn without engaging the bolt. We carry solid deadbolts, reinforced strike plates, tubular and mortise cylinders, and a stock of replacement knobs and lever sets. When you call from anywhere in Delaware County we tell you honestly how soon we can come, then we drive out from Havertown and work at the door.

What the job involves
On arrival we diagnose the lock mechanically: probe the cylinder, pull the trim, inspect the bolt and strike alignment, and check the door frame. If the bolt is bent we replace the bolt and fit a reinforced strike; if the cylinder is corroded we extract it and pin a new core. We cut and file keys on site when possible, and we rekey cylinders by changing the pin stack so your old keys no longer work. All work happens where the lock is.

Good to know
While we work you should secure pets, clear the threshold and have proof of residence or ownership ready: a matching lease, deed, utility bill, or photo ID with your address. If there are multiple household members who need keys, tell us up front so we can cut the correct number. If a door has loose trim or weather stripping, leave that visible so we can assess whether the lock itself is the problem or if the frame needs attention. We’ll explain what we’re doing in plain terms.

Worth knowing
Typical residential calls from Pocopson Township and nearby East Bradford Township involve misaligned strikes, frozen cylinders, or lost keys. We handle lock upgrades like swapping a tubular knob for a long-throw deadbolt, fitting a reinforced strike plate with longer screws, or installing a keyed-alike set so one key works multiple locks. If a historic mortise needs parts we salvage usable hardware and fit compatible internals. We don’t have a storefront (every job is on location at your door), and we’ll tell you clearly what work we recommend before we start.
