What goes wrong
Commercial doors in offices, storefronts and warehouses present a narrow set of recurring problems we handle every week. We see broken cylinders jammed with damaged keys, exit devices with bent latches, mortise locks with sheared bolts, and keyways worn so keys catch or won’t turn. We also replace or repair door closers that no longer control swing or strikes that have pulled out of the frame. If you call from East Marlborough Township we drive out from Havertown and explain honestly what we can do for the lock you describe.

What the job involves
A typical commercial job starts with confirming who has authority to approve work and which doors are in scope. We diagnose the hardware on site: whether the lock is a rim cylinder, a mortise, an electric strike, an exit device, or an electronic keypad. We check bolt engagement, door alignment and the condition of the frame before we open or remove parts. If access control is involved we test wiring at the lock and the power source, and we note any visible wear on connectors and terminals.

Good to know
While you wait for us to arrive, clear the immediate area around the affected door and identify any alternate exits you want people to use. Have the building keying plan, key blanks or existing master key information available if you have it; if you don’t, tell us who has copies. For doors with electronic locks, make sure someone on site knows the power and network locations for that door so we can troubleshoot without interrupting unrelated equipment. If you call from East Marlborough Township we’ll tell you, plainly, when we can get there and what we need you to prepare.

Worth knowing
When we work we use the parts that fit the mechanical problem: new cylinders, forged levers, long-throw deadbolts, reinforced strikes and replacement exit device components. For access-control work we remove and bench-test the lock or keypad as needed, run continuity checks on wiring, and replace worn connectors. We rekey cores where appropriate and assemble master key systems on site when authorized. We leave doors functioning and hardware adjusted: latch travel set, strike plates tightened, and door closers adjusted so the door latches cleanly into the strike every time.
