What goes wrong
We work on the kinds of commercial hardware that fail in daily use: exit devices that stick, panic bars with bent linkages, mortise locks with worn cylinders, keypad units that stop responding, and door closers that no longer control closing speed. On arrival we inspect the door, jamb and frame, test the cylinder, check the strike and the latch throw, and look for worn or broken mounting screws and reinforcing plates. Much of the repair is mechanical, replacing a spindle, swapping a worn latch, re-pinning a cylinder, or straightening a bent bar so the mechanism cycles smoothly again.

What the job involves
When access control or keypads act up we check the power, the wiring runs and the lock’s relay, and we bench-test lone modules if that’s needed. For master key systems we trace the keying to determine which cylinders need re-pinning or which keys have been mis-cut. If an exit device is pulling off the door face we remove and replace the fasteners and add a reinforced strike or longer bolts where the hardware bears against the jamb. We drive out from Havertown and bring common replacement cylinders, cams, padlocks, and strike plates to handle on-site fixes.

Good to know
If you’re waiting for us, secure any confidential materials and, if possible, put up a temporary notice for staff and customers explaining restricted access. For an occupied storefront we recommend isolating the affected door and, when safe, propping an alternate entrance so business can continue. Have the existing keys, any door or gate access cards, and the make and model of the keypad or exit device ready if you can find them. If you know which keyways are in use or can point to the master key cabinet, that speeds diagnosis; otherwise we start by identifying what’s installed and work from there.

Worth knowing
Commercial jobs in Boothwyn and nearby towns such as Upper Chichester Township often involve doors that have settled, strikes that need repositioning, or hardware that was installed without reinforcement. We replace broken latches and deadbolts, install longer throw bolts and reinforced strikes, repair door closer arms and adjust closing force, and replace failed cylinders and padlocks. For access control we replace or repair keypads, readers and the electric strikes they operate, and we test the entire door cycle after the repair to confirm the lock, strike and closer all interact reliably.
