The buildings and the hardware
The mix of housing in East Caln Township changes which locks we see and how we work on them. Many homes use modern bored cylindrical deadbolts and lever handlesets, which are straightforward to replace or rekey; older houses and some period doors still have mortise locks, rim cylinders, or surface-mounted hardware that require different tools and parts. Townhouses and newer builds sometimes use multi-point or mortise-style patio hardware, while older single-family doors may be out of square and need latch adjustment as part of a lock swap. Commercial storefronts and small offices bring in rim cylinders and exit devices, so we carry parts for both residential and light commercial hardware.
